OOO-LAH-DEE-DAH

Copyright 2012 – Robert E. Shandor

You know I’d call you slinky
But it’s been trademarked
And I’d really rather not get sued
Yeah, you got this thing about you
Some might call it style
But to me it’s just a strange attitude

A-h-h, but your ooo-lah-dee-dah
Is so welcoming
I wanna keep comin’ back for more
And my sham-a-lama-ling
Wants to do its thing
Keeps me knockin’ on your door
Let’s not waste more of our time
What we have here’s so sublime
It’s destiny -- this you and me

If I found you in the street
You’d be my lucky coin and I’d
Save you for a cold rainy day
But you’re made of different mettle
And we’d have more fun
If we had ourselves a warm roll in the hay

‘Cause your ooo-lah-dee-dah
Is so welcoming
I wanna keep comin’ back for more
And my sham-a-lama-ling
Wants to do its thing
Keeps me knockin’ on your door
Let’s just lay it on the line
We can go get intertwined
It’s destiny -- a-h-h, set me free

Of course there’s more to you
Than just your derriere
But that part of you is not so bad
And though your face looks like
A cherub just been kissed
It’s not the thing that most intrigues this lad

Yeah, it’s your ooo-lah-dee-dah
That’s so welcoming
I wanna keep comin’ back for more
And my sham-a-lama-ling
Wants to do its thing
Keeps me knockin’ on your door
Let’s not pretend we’re too refined
To have ourselves a real good time
It’s destiny -- so, come with me

Ooo-lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-da-ah
Ooo-lah-dee-dah-lah-dee-dah
Ooo-lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-da-ah
Ooo-lah-dee-dah-lah-dee-dah
Ooo-lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-da-ah
Ooo-lah-dee-dah-lah-dee-dah
Ooo-lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-da-ah
Ooo-lah-dee-dah-lah-dee-dah
