ONE MORE LAST CHANCE

Copyright 2012 Ė Robert E. Shandor

I know that I have done things that I
Shouldíve not done
I canít begin to count them but I
Know itís more than one, and I was
Makiní your heart break
Each and every time, and I was
Throwiní your love away like it
Would always be mine,
And I donít know if Iíll ever even understand why

But, wonít you reconsider
And think it through again
This olive branch I offer
Is my hope to make amends
For the heartaches I have caused you
Through the good times and the bad
For the tears that glistened on your cheeks
All those times I made you sad

You know Iím not a fan of weariní
My heart out on my sleeve
And Iím not happy heariní you tell me
That youíre about to leave
So, Iím hopiní youíll consider this
An offer of peace from me
And give me just one more last chance
To show you another side of me

I never paid attention to the
Signals that you sent
And often didnít think about
What the words that you said meant
I could have been much nicer
ĎMost all the time
Instead of beiní always just a
Little out of line
And I donít know if Iíll ever even understand why

But, wonít you reconsider
And think it through again
This olive branch I offer
Is my hope to make amends
For the heartaches I have caused you
Through the good times and the bad
For the tears that glistened on your cheeks
All those times I made you sad

So, Iím hopiní youíll consider this
An offer of peace from me
And give me just one more last chance
To show you another side of me
Yes, Iím hopiní that youíll welcome this
Apology from me
And give me just one more last chance
To show you the better side of me

Wonít you give me one more last chance
You could give me just one more
So, wonít you give me one more last chance, now
You know you could give me just one more
Wonít you give me one more last chance
You could give me just one more
Why donít you give me one more last chance before
You throw me out that door
