COME WHAT MAY

Copyright 2013 Ė Robert E. Shandor

They call me ramble-tamble Ďcause Iím always on the move
I could be at the pyramids or over at the Louvre, any day
Iím an experience junkie, a sometimes flunky, whoís crazy
As a monkey when it comes to play, comes to play
And Iíve been all around this great big world
And hereís what I came back to sayÖ

Letís take a sail into the sunset
Off the shores of Waikiki
And watch the dolphins swim ahead of us
Showiní us how to live free

Letís roast some mac nuts on a fire
Lie on a blanket under a tree
Suck the juice out of a mango
While we share the evening breeze

Then Iíll wrap my arms around you
Hear your heartbeatís melody
As I whisper sweet somethings to
The tune of destiny

And thereís one thing you can count on
You know itís safe to say
I will always be here for you
Come what may
I will always be here for you
Come what may

You know Iíve been here and Iíve traveled there and
I gotta tell ya every place is startiní to look the same
I have flown on planes and rode on trains, sometimes
I had to hitchhike in the rain, in the rain
And Iíve been all around this great big world
And hereís what I came back to sayÖ

I couldnít hold you any closer
I couldnít want you any more
I want to feel this way forever
I want to see our love endure

I hope that weíll grow old together
I hope our hearts will fill with joy
I know that we can share a future
Even time cannot destroy

With each new dayís sun-risiní
We can choose what we will do
I choose to give to you my loviní,
Darliní, for ever and a day

And thereís one thing you can count on
You know itís safe to say
I will always be here for you
Come what may
I will always be here for you
Come what may

And thereís one thing you can count on
You know itís safe to say
I will always be here for you
Come what may
I will always be here for you
Come what may
Yes, I will always be here for you
Come what may
